DAY 24--CABO SAN LUCAS--ABORTED

What We Did Last Night:
Our favorite canape are these "poppers".  Cream cheese in jalapeno.
Tetyana making our drinks last night in Meridian Lounge
We enjoyed a lovely dinner last night with Massimo Arzani, our General Manager, on the ship and 3 others up in Prime 7.  On the left are Larry & Carol Soule also from Colorado.  We sailed with them on our 2017 world cruise and our Circle South America cruise in 2016.  They have been on this cruise since Capetown, South Africa, mid December.  We had not seen them on the ship until tonight however.  Really great couple.  Also joining Massimo was our very good friend from Toronto, Marcia Rector.  The six of us enjoyed some great food, wine, and conversation.
The three guys all enjoyed this decadent 14 layer chocolate cake.  Very moist and tasty.
We did make it to the show last night.  The comedian was very good but some obnoxious passengers close to front of theater kept making silly comments interrupting his delivery of jokes.  Wish those drunks had stayed in the bar.

What We Did Today:
So here we are again in Cabo San Lucas.  Big weather change since last Wednesday.  When we arrived and dropped anchor in the bay at noon, the wind was gusting up to 45 knots and forecast to go higher.  As they cannot put out the ship's stabilizers when in shallower waters the ship is rolling a bit now due to the wind.  It is partly sunny and 66 degrees but you can see blowing sand from the strong winds.  At 12:15 Lorraine, our cruise director, made a PA that for safety reasons the Captain has decided to not attempt tendering operations so we are recovering the lifeboats (tenders) and will continue sailing for our next port, Acapulco.  I had gone out on our balcony upon arrival and told Rebecca that I was betting the Captain would not attempt tendering here.  I was correct once again.  The Disney ship arrived this morning.  Lorraine said they also were discontinuing their tender operations.  I wonder if they will have some passengers left behind today stuck on shore.
I enjoyed my usual lunch in Prime 7 with a beef empanada and Caesar salad with grilled salmon.  It was delicious.  I was there when the PA was made that we were going to miss the port.  After that the restaurant started filling up quickly.  Rebecca again had her Atkins bar and is reading this afternoon.  I may watch another movie.
We had Prime 7 reservations for this evening with Jane & Melissa but Rebecca and I would have eaten there 3 of the last 4 nights.  So Jane & Melissa are going to Prime 7 and we will dine in Compass Rose.  I have invited Danina, the Executive Concierge, and Rose Mary, the Head Housekeeper to join us for dinner tonight.  So I will still have my "harem" of lovely women!  LOL

I think you will enjoy the photos taken in Cabo when we were here in 2014.  Here is the link to view those photos.  I did the exact same tour then that Jane, Melissa, and I were scheduled to do today.  So you will get to see photos I took on a much nicer day than today.  As a review, to open the link you will have to "copy and paste" it to a "new tab" at top of your browser.  Click on the first photo to make it larger and so you can see my captions in upper right.  Arrow half way down side of photos through rest of them.  Disregard first 3 photos with maps.

After dinner there is another production show in the theater.  I know I said we probably would not be going but Rebecca did enjoy the music from "My Revolution" show we saw last segment.  So we may give it a go again.
