Today we are sailing up the Baja California coast, the second longest peninsula in the world. It is mostly cloudy today but the sun trying to peek through at times. Ocean is still smooth. A cool 65 degrees this morning. We are sea both today and tomorrow now heading for Los Angeles.
What We Did Last Night:
As I mentioned yesterday there was a dinner up on the pool deck "under the stars" as we did not leave Cabo until midnight. We had our dinner in Compass Rose instead.
We both had Ceasar salads to start with. We get the dressing on the side as like to add tabasco to the dressing before mixing it in the salad.
We did not care for the menu entrees so had requested the chef to prepare veal parmesan once again. Very good this time.
Lemon cake for dessert.
As I promised, here is the link to the photos I took yesterday afternoon and evening of how they transform the pool deck into a dining venue "under the stars". I started taking photos at 2pm right before they started clearing the deck. I also went up and took photos at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, and then of the finished product at 6:45. Time of photos is in upper right corner where captions always are. I hope you will take the time to view the link as what they do is amazing.

What We Did Today:
After doing our daily morning workouts and getting cleaned up, it was almost time for lunch. I finally saw a few small dolphins playing behind the ship from my stationary bike in gym. Rebecca had her Atkins bar and I went up to La Veranda buffet. I was a bad boy and had this bacon, cheese burger! Burgers on the ship are great!!
At 1:30 we went to the theater to see the movie, "A Star is Born". It was a sad, tear jerker but very good. Every day at 4:00 in the afternoon up in the Observation Lounge they have a "tea time". Each one has a different theme and today's was "Chocoholic Teatime". Thought I would go up and get some photos. Very tempting to try something.
They had not yet put the melted chocolate in the metal fondue dealie. I had to take this photo before it was actually open at 4pm. Otherwise the passenger "locusts" would have scarfed it up.
Tonight is the Captain's Farewell and "Krew Kapers Show". Crew members rehearse on their free time and put on a variety show for us passengers. It is always very entertaining and quite good. We have seen so many of these shows over the years as all of the Regent ships put on this show at the end of every cruise.
This evening is a formal optional dress night so will put on the tux and do my best James Bond imitation. We always look forward to Captain's Farewell night as they always have beef Wellington on the Compass Rose menu. Here is the menu for tonight:
Tonight's 9:30 show features "Donovan & Rebecca", an acrobatic due. I noticed them in the Meridian Lounge yesterday evening and wondered who they were. She is very attractive and way too young be a regular passenger. Sorry ladies!!! Guess we will be on front row tonight!!!
