DAY 21--START OF SECOND CRUISE

                                                                    Docked in LA

I was awake early this morning and the ship was docked here at the Port of Los Angeles a couple hours earlier than the 7:00 am planned time.  We showered, had room service, and was ready to go off the ship by 8:30.  They did not start disembarking passenger until all the luggage was off loaded (a Customs regulation) so that occurred at 8:00.  We also had to get off and clear immigration with our passports.  I took Marge and David's bag through Customs and we met them curbside to give it to them.  Remember David was evacuated off the ship in Lima so did not have time to pack.
We then had to wait outside until all passengers had cleared through Immigration before being allowed back on board.  It was about 10:00 before allowed to reboard.  The ship had a Coast Guard safety inspection this morning so that delayed everything.  The crew had a big safety drill so that messed up their getting rooms ready.
Our friends, Rick & Ramon, from LA came on board to visit and see the ship.  We had to have them cleared with Regent couple months ago to get them on board.  We showed them the ship and had lunch up in La Veranda buffet before they left at 2:00 pm.  Now I'm mad I did not get a photo of them.  Our friends, Jane & Melissa, are on board now.  We found them having lunch after after Rick & Ramon left.
                                                            Rebecca, Melissa, & Jane
We gave them a tour of the ship while their suite was being prepared.  Now we are back in our suite while they get settled in.  At 5:15 everyone has to attend the lifeboat/safety briefing.  The ship does not sail until midnight as just going over to Catalina Island.
Plan for this evening is to meet the girls in Meridian Lounge before having dinner in Prime 7, steakhouse.  There is a show tonight featuring a magician, Martin Lewis.
