JANUARY 17, 2019

In one month from today we will be boarding Regent Seven Seas Explorer at the pier in San Antonio, Chile, which is 65 miles to the west of Santiago, Chile.  I am making preparations now for our flying from Durango to Dallas on February 11th.  Our flight from DFW airport to SCL (airport at Santiago) will not be until evening of February 14th but with the Durango winter weather, thought it wise to leave early.  Do not want to miss our flight to SCL.  We will be spending two nights before the cruise in the Santiago DoubleTree Hotel.

As you can see above, I have prepared our four pieces of luggage that we will be checking on American Airlines.  Do not want someone to mistake our luggage as theirs so got the bright greenish velcro handle wraps on Amazon, wrote our name with paint pen, put two different ribbons on handles, and have two name tags.  This done on side handle also.  I also put a copy of our itinerary with contact numbers inside.

You will note one nice name tag has Regent "Titanium" on it.  After cruising over 400 nights on Regent you become a Titanium member of their Seven Seas Society.  We now have 601 nights and our goal is to become "Diamond" at 1000 nights.  There are increasing benefits with the increasing levels.  Actually we have done 87 cruises for over 1200 nights on ALL cruise lines.
We are "cruise-a-holics".

We are very anxious to begin this next "adventure" in our lives.  We are so fortunate to have visited over 100 countries in the world.  I hope you will enjoy this blog as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.  Feel free to share the link with friends.

I suggest that you "bookmark" the link now so you will have it when I continue with blog posts closer to February 11th.  I'll send another reminder out then.  I will be making posts every day of the cruise, ship's internet allowing, and it usually does.
